Building a brand identity for a bookstore and cafe
Little Bug Script Shop is a bookstore and cafe opening in the Los Angeles area. Victoria reached out to me earlier this year looking to bring her brand vision to life. Here is everything we created.
PHASE ONE: CREATIVE DIRECTION
The first step was to nail down the overall vibe and visual direction by building out the Brand Strategy and Creative Direction.
We do this by defining the brands personality, tone of voice, demographic, values, goals, moodboards, and more.
PHASE TWO: LOGO CONCEPT CREATION
Next, I started exploring typography choices and sketching out logo ideas. Victoria had a super fun idea to use a bug and the comedy, tragedy drama masks in the branding somehow. I ended up crafting a moth with the faces hidden in the wings. It felt seamless, fun, and totally on brand.
PHASE THREE: BRAND PRESENTATION
To help my clients visualize the logos and brand identity, I place the design elements into realistic mockups that showcase how the branding will look in real-world settings. Once that’s complete, I compile everything into a comprehensive PDF Brand Presentation, highlighting every element of the new identity in a clear and cohesive way.
PHASE FOUR: FEEDBACK AND FINAL DELIVERY
After my client reviews the Brand Identity Presentation, they will complete a feedback form to share their thoughts and any requested revisions. Once the final design is approved, they will receive a complete set of brand files, everything my client needs to confidently launch their new branding.
Here is everything I included in a custom brand identity for Little Bug Script Shop:
full logo suite
custom color palette
hand drawn brand icons
social media template designs in canva
custom sticker design
a set of branding guidelines
and here is a look at the final branding:
kind words from victoria at little bug script shop
Braya was such a pleasure to work with! She was quick to understand my vision and brought out ideas that I couldn’t verbalize. It was an incredible process… I was so confident in Pink Tiger Creative from the beginning. I love that I could trust her with all of the small details and she put it together in such an effortless way, and now I have a brand!! I will definitely work with her again if I ever need more help building my business’ visual personality.
